Affiliation and Title
Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences
Doctoral Program in Earth Evolution Sciences, Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba
Professor of Petrology research group

Research Areas
◇Petrology and petrochemistry of igneous rocks, Radiometric age determination Isotope geochemistry◇

Research Interests
My main researches are focused on petrology, petrochemistry, and geochronology of igneous rocks worldwide.
Petrology and petrochemistry (including isotope geochemistry) are necessary for clarifying the origin, genesis and formation process of igneous rocks, and geochronology technique is indispensable for understanding their absolute ages.
These research approaches potentially provide keys for deciphering not only the role of igneous process in earth’s interior, but also tectonic process and history of the earth.
